Applying for leave or Paid Time Off (PTO) ensures your time away from work is planned, recorded, and approved. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you submit your leave/PTO request through our system:
Step 1: Log In to the Employee Services Portal
- Go to the Employee Services portal (such as Zendesk or your HR platform).
- Use your employee credentials to sign in.
- If you encounter issues logging in, contact the helpdesk or IT support.
Step 2: Navigate to the Leave or PTO Section
- Locate the menu or dashboard option labeled Leave, PTO, or Time Off.
- Click on this section to view your leave options and balances.
Step 3: Start a New Leave/PTO Request
- Click Apply for Leave or Request PTO.
- A form will appear for you to enter your leave details.
Step 4: Fill Out the Leave/PTO Request Form
Provide the following information:
- Type of Leave: Select the type (PTO, vacation, sick leave, personal day, etc.).
- Start and End Dates: Indicate when your leave starts and when you’ll return.
- Reason for Leave: Briefly explain your absence (if required).
- Supporting Documents: Attach any documents (e.g., doctor’s note), if necessary.
Step 5: Review and Submit Your Request
- Double-check the information you have entered for accuracy.
- Click Submit or Send Request.
- You’ll receive a confirmation on the portal and/or via email.
Step 6: Track Your Leave Request
- Go to My Requests or My Tickets to view the status.
- Your leave request will show as Open, Pending, Approved, or Rejected.
- You’ll receive updates when your request is processed.
Step 7: Make Changes or Cancel (If Needed)
- You may be able to edit or withdraw your request before approval.
- Look for an Edit or Cancel button on your request.
- If you can’t make changes through the portal, contact HR or your manager directly.
